The founder
Sri M.C. Jacob’s visionary leadership carved a niche for Anna Group in domestic as well as global markets.
One of the most audacious entrepreneurs Kerala has ever seen, Sri M.C. Jacob founded Anna Aluminium in 1968. It grew to become a leading aluminum manufacturer in South India in a short space of time. M.C Jacob hails from an affluent family of plantation owners. Before diving into aluminum manufacturing, he was a Public Works Department contractor. When he learnt that not only do Tamil Nadu-based companies manufacture aluminum utensils using scrap from the INDAL plant in Kalamassery, his neighboring panchayat, but also sell them for a profit in Kerala, he saw the vast trove opportunity it held for natives.
